PSN exclusive title Journey is completely finished after being under development for three years confirmed ThatGameCompany. Sony has not announced a release date for the title yet.
Studio boss Jenova Chen took to Twitter to announce the news: “Three years is a long time when you finally finish something and look back [and say], ‘What have I done in the past three years?’” he said. “Hope it’s worth it.”
On release date, “Sony’s working on [a date]” but that there are “quite a few big releases coming up”. “Once Sony figure out the right time, they will announce it. I assume pretty soon.”
Bioware confirmed Mass Effect 3 demo will be available for PlayStation 3 gamers on February 14 via PSN.
The demo will start with the game’s opening sequence as the Reapers begin their invasion of Earth. Mass Effect 3′s new multiplayer feature will also be available to play.
Those who activated their online pass for Battlefield 3 can download the demo on February 14, and the rest of the public will get access on February 17.
Executive producer Casey Hudson commented: “We are excited to be able to give gamers an expansive demo that will put them right on the front lines of this all-out galactic war.”
“The entire scale of the game is bigger than anything we’ve ever done. With its intense action, deep customisation and raw emotional power, Mass Effect 3 will deliver a spectacular action RPG experience to fans of the series and newcomers alike.”
Ubisoft has announced they will be released the Rayman Origins demo on PSN and Xbox Live on November 9.
The demo will include three playable maps from the Jungle, Food and Ocean worlds. Players will also be able to unlock a new constume by collecting nine Electoons.
Rayman Orgins will be available in retail stores on November 25.
Sony has confirmed that all future first party titles will use the Online Pass system announced earlier this year.
“Online Pass will be incorporated into Uncharted 3 and future Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios (SCE WWS) games with online functionality,” said a representative from SCEA.
“We will provide further information in the future.”
This means for any Sony multiplayer game it will require you to input a code. If you purchase a pre-owned game you would have to purchase a pass code.
Sony confirmed today that a free multiplayer FPS titled “Bootleggers” is in the making for PlayStation Home.
PS Home avatars will be able to shoot it out with all other gamers in the room. This is part of Sony’s attempt to make PS Home more of a game-focused HUB.
Home users will be able to find the FPS in the Action district, and you’ll jump into a matchmaking lobby.
The new PS Home will be available later this year.
EA will launch Battlefield 3′s beta on PlayStation 3 on September 29.
Those who purchased the Limited/Tier 1 edition of Medal of Honor will get access to the beta on September 27. PC owners who pre-ordered the digital download of Battlefield 3 via EA’s Origin platform will also get early access to the beta.
Battlefield 3 will be released on October 25.
Rockstar Games announced they will release a new Red Dead Redemeption DLC “Myths & Mavericks” for free on September 13 via PlayStation Network.
The Read Ded DLC will include new characters, new game modes, and new maps.
