Battlefield 3: Armored Kill Coming On September 4

EA confirmed that Battlefield 3: Armored Kill will be released on September 4.

PS3 Premium members will have the first opportunity to download the DLC, and a week later it will be available on Xbox 360 and PC. Non-premium members will have to wait until September 18.

Armored Kill will offer new tanks, ATVs, mobile artillery, four new maps, and the Tank Superiority Mode.

New Gran Turismo 5 DLC Out Next Week

Sony announced today that Gran Turismo 5 will receive a new DLC on January 17.

The Car Pack will be available for $5.99, and will include six new cars: The Lamborghini Aventador, Jaguar XJR-9 LM racecar, Aston Martin V12 Vantage, 66′ Volkswagen 1200, Mini Cooper S Countryman, and the Nissan Leaf.

The second piece of the DLC Route X test course will be for $3.99.

Starhawk To Have “Surprising Free DLC”

Lightbox has confirmed that there will be plenty of free downloadable content for Starhawk.

“Actually, I can’t go into specifics, but we do have a bunch of free DLC planned,” said Senior Producer Harvard Bonin, adding, “and it might be surprising.”

There will also be paid DLC. “We, of course, have stuff we are happy to take your money for, too,” he said.

“We rethought our DLC strategy and we’ll reveal more about it as we get closer to release.”

Starhawk’s open beta will be available within the next few months, and the game is due out in summer.

Dead Island’s Bloodbath Arena DLC Gets New Date

Dead Island’s Bloodbath Arena DLC will be released on November 22 in the United States for $9.99 (800 Microsoft Points), and will be available to European gamers on November 23.

The DLC will include four new arenas for single player and co-op modes. There will also be a revamp leaderboard and a new weapon called the Brain Wave Bomb.

Dead Island’s Bloodbath Arena DLC was originally set to launch in September, however was pushed back due to “further polishing of the main game”.

New Dead Rising 2 DLC Confirmed

Capcom confirmed it will release the Dead Rising 2: Off the Record DLC next week.

The new DLC will turn Frank West into a cyborg, giving him increased melee damage, electric damage to all his regular attacks, as well as increasing the potency of all electrical appliance damage.

The Cyborg Skills DLC pack will be available on October 26 via PlayStation Network.

DICE Reveals Massive Plans For Battlefield 3 DLC

DICE’s creative director Lars Gustavsson revealed that there are “massive” plans for Battlefield 3 DLC.

“We’ve completely restructured our studio around it. Nowadays, we have operations team who looks at the title when it starts getting closer to launch (or long before) with potential downloadable content and so on, to reallyhave a plan. Otherwise you’re quite likely to start slipping. If you’re focusing just before release on what you’re going to ship post-launch, then I think you have problems.”

“So, yes there is a massive plan in place,” he confirmed to MCV.

Battlefield 3 will release on October 25 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

PS3 To Get Battlefield 3 DLC’s Week Long Exclusivity

Battlefield 3 Back to Karkland DLC

The junior product manager at DICE, Tommy Rydling, revealed today that PlayStation 3 gamers will get the first look at Battlefield 3 expansion packs. BF3 DLC’s will be available exclusive to PS3 for a week before it is released for Xbox 360 and PC.

The first Battlefield 3 DLC will be Back to Karkland, which will be available to those who pre-order the game. If you did not pre-order the game you can purchase the DLC later this year.

Battlefield 3 is due on October 25, 2011 across PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Square Confirms Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC

Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC

Final Fantasy XIII-2 will receive a post-launch DLC which will include extra costumes, creatures and weapons.

Producer Yoshinori Kitase revealed at TGS 2011 that some of the game’s planned downloadable content will be reserved as a pre-order incentive.

“Regarding the DLC content, we feel that the final product is 100 per cent enjoyable… it’s the complete package. So we’re not planning any DLC at this time,” said Kitase.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is due out in the U.S. on January 31, with a European launch following on February 3.

Dead Island’s Bloodbath Arena DLC Confirmed For September

Deep Silver confirmed that Dead Island’s Bloodbath Arena DLC will be available via PlayStation Network later this month.

The DLC will include four new areas to fight off waves of zombies, and a new gun the “Brain Wave Bomb”.

Those who purchased the Dead Island Special Edition will receive the DLC for free. No price has been released for those who have to purchase the DLC.
