Judge grants Sony PS3 restraining order‎

Sony has won its request for a temporary restraining order in its PS3 jailbreak case against Geohot and fail0verflow, despite a jurisdictional technicality. At the same time, the judge at the US District Court for the Northern District of California has allowed Sony to keep the lawsuit in San Francisco. The restraining order forbids the jailbreak team from distributing or linking the jailbreak.

Mass Effect 2 is all about protecting the galaxy from hostile aliens, but some PS3 owners are finding that the galaxy doesn’t want to be protected, and is sabotaging their efforts by corrupting their save files. Call of Duty Black Ops won’t be taken from PS3

PS3 Gets Steam Support, Cross-Platform Portal 2

Valve recently announced that the PS3 version of Portal 2, sequel to their 2007 breakout hit Portal, will come equipped with Steam support, allowing for cloud-based game saving and cross-platform multiplayer with PC/Mac players, a first for any console system. In addition, players who purchase the PS3 version of Portal 2 will be able to unlock a PC or Mac version of the game for free.
