Insomniac Games said in its latest newsletter that it would be announcing its new Playstation 3 project at some point before the Penny Acrade Expo in Boston. PAX takes place from September 3 to 5, and Insomniac expects to have the title ready to demo at the Expo.

“We’re bringing our new game to a very special Penny Arcade Expo panel on Saturday evening (September 4th), at 6:30pm in the Serpent Theatre,” the newsletter reads. “G4TV’s Adam Sessler will moderate a panel with key creative talent from Insomniac Games as we discuss (and demo!) our upcoming PlayStation 3 project.”

The expectation is that the game will be Resistance 3, which has shown up both on a movie set billboard and in a Sony survey.
