Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi said in an interview with IGN that they ‘have a PS4 version in mind’ for Gran Turismo 6. The game will first release on PlayStation 3 possibly in November. Yamauchi said once DLC content and updates are released that a PS4 version could then be ready.

“We actually do have a PS4 version in mind, but for this holiday season, we thought it would be best for users to release on the PS3 for now. I thought the best scenario would be to have the game come out, then to have new scenarios, new DLC, and other updates. Once the players have thoroughly played out the system, if the PS4 version came out naturally, as part of that process, I think that would be the best scenario.”

So fans could expect to see a Gran Turismo 6 release on the PS4 in 2014. He also hinted at the possibility that PS3 game saves could load onto the PS4.
